Though we may hate the guy he wins. He wins ugly but the sonuvabitch wins.

When I was at MU UW was terrible. That has changed and it is great for the rivalry.

Some people around here will accuse you of being a UW-madison fan for stating just the obvious...they keep winning. They've had an incredible run since 2000...one of the best in the nation.

C'mon Chicos, give credit to Bennett. he took over a train wreck from van Gundy in 95. The UW run really started with the 96-97 season and culminated with Bennett taking them to the Final Four in 99-00. If anything, Ryan has sped up their pace of play and brought exciting basketball back to Madison.

Beating UofM today was classic Ryan. Michigan should have put it away but were shut down on 7 straight possessions including 3 straight shot clock violations. Michigan moves the ball and scores at will. Ryan's defenses shut them down when it mattered. As much as I hate it it was impressive. All the more so given WI had a bunch of big, slow white guys on the floor (just quoting Al!)

I'm happy to go back to Bennett...they've had an incredible run for 15 years.

How does Wisconsin only get called for 3 fouls against them in the 2nd half? That's a team you could call a foul against every time they go on defense.

For sure Bo's style wins games, but our style does too.

Michigan shot TWO free throws the entire game. Bo makes sure his team gets every single call at home.

Bo runs the schemes that match his talent or he recruits the talent for his schemes. Part of his schtick is working the refs (second only to Al, in my limited view.) No doubt he gets the calls, especially at home. Just think how he could own the refs if the students were more dignified in their chanting!

They're 8-3 in the Big 10, and in my opinion they've earned what they are. But when your own team was 6-1 all you wanted to talk about was how your own team could have been 3-4. Now the team you hate more than any other is 8-3, but could be 2-9 and there's no suggestion from you that they're lucky, even after today's half court heave. Curious....or maybe not.

Apparently, you can agree that fouling up 3 is the right choice, tell your team to do it.....and sometimes it doesn't matter.

Again, what did our OWN coach say...I merely stated what he said.  Or are you saying Buzz was wrong?

And yes, by human nature many are tougher on their own.  I'm tougher on my own kids than other kids.  When I coached, I was tougher on my kids than the others.  I'm tougher on my own teams\schools than other teams.  Yup, guilty as charged.  I expect more out of them.

What I won't apologize for, however, are the facts.  They've been very good (so have we) in the last 15 years.  For some reason here stating the obvious gets you hammered.  I don't like them, but I tip my hat to them.  Lesser athletes every year, but they find a way to win.  A phenomenal run...even better than ours the last 15 years.  Those, are merely the facts.

As much as I loathe Bucky, beating Michigan has to help our RPI some, no?

I also have to admit that Bo is a pretty damn good coach.

I don't know that their run is better than ours the past 15 years. They haven't made the Final Four and haven't beaten a higher seed in the tournament. I think the fact that we have done both negates the down years we have had.

I hate Bucky as much as the next guy, but at least get your facts straight
Final Four in 2000
Beat FSU as a 12 seed in 2009

Gotta be pretty close to a tie for the 2 programs the last 15 years, but they would probably have the slight advantage because of higher finishes in the Big 10elevenhellwhoknows

Both programs have performed really well over the past 15 seasons. Some of the breakdowns (97-2012):

UW: 341-154, Reached 14/15 NCAA's, 20-14 record, 1 Final Four, 1 Elite Eight, 4 Sweet Sixteen's, 2 Second Rounds, 4 First Rounds.

MU: 320-167, Reached 9/15 NCAA's, 10-9 record, 1 Final Four, 2 Sweet Sixteen's, 2 Second Rounds, 4 First Rounds.

FSU is Bo's only win against a higher seeded team. That 2000 FF run was against all double digit seeded teams, I believe.

Bucky beating #3 in the nation means they must be #2.

We beat #2 Bucky.

We're #1.

By this logic, we are #2 and UWGB is #1.

Wisconsins final four run in 2000 was against a 9 seed, a 1 seed, a 4 seed and a 6 seed. So Except for the first game 8 vs 9 every other game was an upset.
