Yea. A lot like the threads where people rag on a bunch of kids who do this for fun and bitch about the music selection. That is really 'classy.'

Frankly, most people don't really care but appreciate that the kids do it. Regardless of what they play, other than the fight song, it is background noise that adds to the atmosphere. If I want to be entertained I go to a jazz club or the symphony. The kids playing in the band do a great job. I could give 2 sh1ts what they play.

If i hear parliament's "give up the funk" (we want the funk) one more time, i'm gonna stab my ears out.  I am very appreciative of what the band does and they always sound great, but seriously mix the music up a bit.

The problem is they don't play new music but that's because today's top 40 stuff doesn't translate well to pep bands.

It doesn't have to be new to the world, but it would be nice if it were new to marquette games.  Most of us have been to 100+ Marquette games over the past couple years, and the soundtrack gets a little old after a while.

Exactly. RTFQ! The poll is not whether you like or dislike the Band. It asks Do you give a Sh1t what the Band plays at Marquette Games? Big difference.

I am guessing most people don't really care what the Band plays, other than the fight song.

They play at all the volleyball games as well. Pep Bands is a part of what makes college games!!

I'm sure when I'm as old as some of you I'll be begging for new music but I thoroughly have enjoyed coming to the game for the past 5 years counting on hearing The Impression That I Get and Holiday (outside of the fight song I don't know what else they play)
