Heat kicking mavs a$$ by 30.   Wade playing well.  Crowder the only guy on mavs playing with a brain.

Career high 15 points for Crowder tonight, as tweeted by Paint Touches.

I caught part of the game--Crowder's playing with a lot of confidence and toughness.  It's fun watching him guard LeBron.

Hi All,

Long time lurker finally taking the plunge...

I was in attendance at the game last night, and though it obviously wasn't competitive, both Dwyane and Jae played well.

WADE:  Started out completely deferentially, wasn't even looking for his shot.  It was clear his focus was on defense, and he matched up against Mayo all over the court, making his night miserable.  Mayo could barely get off a shot, and when he did Wade's D was smothering.  Mayo put up two airballs on the night and had an awful line.

I think he only had 2 points when he came out of the game, and then sat for quite a while.  What finally got him going was a play where he got the ball deep in the paint but he actually had bad position-- too deep and actually under two of the Mavericks players.  He went up a little awkwardly and got the ball absolutely slapped back in his face.

That did it.  The next time down the court he absolutely DEMANDED the ball on the left block, took the feed, faced up and took it to the basket with a vengence.  After that is was the old Wade, flying to the basket and taking his gut off the dribble.  In the 3rd quarter he pumped faked Mayo, got him up in the air, and drive in for an easy two-handed dunk.  Vintage.

CROWDER:  Jae sat for the first portion of the game until the Mavericks were down about 14 points.  When he subbed in, he immediately got matched up one-on-one against LeBron.  I looked at my buddy and said "oh oh", but for the most part Jae did OK.  He certainly didn't appear to be intimidated and stayed in man-on-man against LeBron whenever he was in.  James went around him several times, but on the second occasion Jae reached in from behind and stripped him in the paint just like he did so many times his senior year.  He took the steal, drove the court, and made a nice bounce pass doe a layup and assist.

He also drained his first three on his first touch of the game about 20 seconds after coming in off the bench cold, not as easy thing to do.  He clanked some shots in the 3rd quarter before finishing off pretty well in garbage time.
All in all, excellent showings by both.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.
