Stumbled upon this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Baldwin

"In addition to being a national football recruit, Baldwin also had several Division I scholarship offers in basketball, including Marquette. He was an All-state performer, averaging 21.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and two blocks a game his senior year. He was teammates with fellow Pitt wide receiver Mike Shanahan."

Had to look him up on Scoop: http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=3056.msg24013#msg24013

Thought that was interesting that, of all the colleges that offered him, his Wiki page listed Marquette.

Seantrel Henderson was a OT at "The U."  He was picked in the 7th round of the 2014 draft and win the starting RT job and held it for all 16 games.

He played 10 games this season and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease.  He was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.

Henderson also played power forward on his HS basketball team and received basketball offers from Minnesota (his home state, Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, same team as Michael Floyd), Marquette and Vilanova, among others.

I went to high school with Seantrell. I was a few years older. Nice kid. But we wasted time recruiting him. He was always going to play football. Top rated recruit in his class according to a few services.

Also went to school with Floyd. He is a vile human being. Cringe every time I see him on tv

What's so vile about Floyd?

Between me and him. But look at his career at Notre Dame. His DUIs are only a small part of his story

That's fine, but that's a pretty strong statement to make. A "vile human being" is a lot different than claiming he's a jerk.

Fair question. Using "vile" and then contextualizing it between two guys means there must be a broken heart involved. Otherwise, "jerk" would be a normal descriptor.

I stand by my use of vile. No broken hearts were involved. Between me and him was more my way of saying I dislike the guy, I have good reason to dislike the guy, and I don't feel like sharing what that reason is.

Notre Dame doesn't do vile. They're what we aspire to be. We're the vile ones. Or at least we were. Chico has sources, doncha know?
