in Milwaukee??????

Perhaps they hope to make a trade as shrewd as Dirk Nowitzki-for-Robert Traylor.

That is not what I am seeing at the Garden. Bucks are scrambling to get him to come to milwaukee tomorrow for intro. Right now Bucks look stupid.

They called his agent's, not his, bluff.  His representation are the one's hung up on not playing in Milwaukee.  You take the best player available, period.  Nice chip to have.

Best case scenarios: 1) Yi plays for the Bucks; 2) Yi doesn't but Bucks trade him away to teams who can help the Bucks roster; 3) Yi doesn't and saves Milwaukee money (but that doesn't improve the team).

Worst case scenarios: 1) Yi plays and sucks for the Bucks and 2) Yi gets traded but he loses value.

why not take Corey Brewer is my question... is Yi the best prospect at that time?  Against the US in the olympics/other times he played the US... avg 15 points and 7ish rebounds.. is that putting the team over the edge... or even into the postseason... no.  Brewer brings a winning mentality, defense (which no one on the Bucks want to play), and an unselfish attitude, another thing that no one on the Bucks know how to play.  That and his last name is BREWER, are you kidding me, it was destiny, just like in the 2005 draft the Bucks needed to draft Diener in the second round to sell out the BC every game, however just like the NFL, the team in the state of Wisconsin has one of the worst managements in the league...

Yi is an excellent pick----he has no choice if he wants to play in the NBA to play for the team who drafts him------he's very talented-----he is the quickest and most agile 7 footer I have ever seen for the perimeter!

Diener wouldn't have done anything close to selling out the BC everynight.

Murf, he can go back to the international game and re-enter the draft next year.  At least I think that's how it works.  He'd lose a year of income but if he wants out of Milwaukee that bad, it may be worth it to him.

I think the Bucks hold his rights for three years, not one.

The way it works is that he can sit out of preofessional basketball for one year and re-enter the draft next year.  If he plays anywhere else in the world and gets paid, he's still property of the Bucks as far as the NBA is concerned.

If that's the case he would be foolish to sit out a year as he would lose a year's pay ($3 million or so) plus there is a chance that he could get drafted next year by another small market team----or wose than that, suffer an injury in a pickup game during the out year that would cost him another year without pay or even his career.

Best for him IMO is to do what Alcindor did------sign with Milwaukee and play 4 years become a FA and go elsewhere (Alcindor demanded a trade), if that's what he wants at that time.

Bucks should trade Yi and Mo Williams to the Cavs for Drew Gooden and Shannon Brown

Bucks probably think Yi and Bogut are a dream team
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Yi, who hands down, was the best player left on the board when Herbie's Boys drafted, will become fluent in Milwaukee lingo like, bubbler, up north, eat some bakery, and ai'na.
He'll have a kringle or two, a brat or kielbasa, and go to Serb Hall for a fish fry. Then Yi will put on his sausage uniform and race as the Italian at Miller Park while downing a few brewskis. Yi will retire a Bucks icon all the while living large as Crean's neighbor in Stonefields in the Quon.
