There is a full page picture in Sunday's Chicago Suntimes of Steve Novak throwing out the first pitch at Saturday's White Sox game. The article said he grew up in Libertyville, IL and is a big White Sox fan.  I thought he grew up in Wisconsin.

It actually said he was "born" in Libertyville, which is true.

WI inferiority Complexes

The Sun-Times sponsors the White Sox first pitch, and has a full-page picture of every ceremonial hurler.  During this most recent homestand, Novak has joined the ranks of Dick Allen and Lisa Marie Presely.

The Man in Gold

A 6'10" hurler who can throw a strike, the Brewers need to get him into their bullpen immediately. Only, kind of a joke
Captain, We need more sweatervests!  TheManInGold has been blinded by the light (off the technicolor sweatervest)

Nice that all of about 15 fans saw it.

Stadium was pretty full Saturday and Sunday.  It was crazy hot outside though.

I smell a Cub fan.

Nope, currently my team isnt much better though as a Twins fan. Thankfully we don't have the 100 years of suck.

It wasn't really a knock. Just watch the video and see all the open seats at the time. Cleveland and Chicago's attendance for a lot of this year is sad though for top 2 teams.

MarsupialMadness

Attendance has been pretty brutal this year.  Also, not everyone gets to their seats by the "first" pitch anymore... not when you can drink one more $0.50 beer in the parking lot as opposed to that $7.50 beer in the park.

I'll buy a copy off someone!

It's not the same picture as the link above.  The one in the paper shows him after releasing the ball. His face is grimacing.

His form definitely needs work.  Not sure his future as a two sport athlete would include baseball... but he could probably find at least as much success as Jordan did.

Jordan career stats:
AB: 436
Avg: .202
HR: 3
2B: 17
RBI: 51
SO: 114
