Another interesting article from Kirk Goldsberry on analysis of shooting by location on the floor in the NBA.  Two MU NBA'ers (Novak and Matthews) are on the list.

"Although Steve Novak led the NBA with an incredible 47 percent from three, he's only the best shooter in the NBA from one small area on his right side. He's great everywhere, but he is only the best of the best in one place."

So Novak has the Uncle Jesse sweet spot huh!?

Maybe (nh).  Or it's a spot that defenses fail to cover as well as others, providing for better looks

I was shocked to see Wes on here.  Awesome having two Marquette guys represent.

Blackhat

Seems as though Wes' work ethic has really paid off on his jumper.

It sounds like the author meant for that line to be a slight against Novak, but when you consider what's being said, not so much.  Nobody else is the best of the best in more than one place, so why is Novak getting an "although" because of it?

Plus, he's as good from his sweet spot as The Bron is from his.  Not too shabby.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
