Read how he got them.

That's ridiculous and must be outlawed.

At least a 5 year ban of recruiting players they have had an organizational contact with.

Seems so dirty...

Where can we get an assistant like that?

This is the business we've chosen!

I admit it gets harder and harder to be a college basketball fan. From stuff like this, Bo Ryan/limiting a players ability to transfer, the fact coaches get paid millions and can come and go as they please while the players who make them and their schools rich have strict limitations. It's a business and a dirty one. I feel like I need to shower more and more as I continue to support it, but I do continue to support it.

We all know exactly how it is, and frankly as long as we continue to throw dollars at it, we really do forfeit the right to complain about it.

Of all the crap that goes on with college athletics, hiring a well-connected AAU coach as an assistant is pretty far down on my list of things to be outraged about.

Agree. If we hired him and got those players this place would be thrilled.

I'm not sure that its a winning long term strategy, either.  Are you really getting the best assistants this way?  Maybe you know that you're getting someone with good connections for recruiting in a particular area, but what else will he be able to contribute?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Some don't even find it squirmworthy.

Some fans and administrators believe there are plenty of schools out there winning without getting into the sliminess others dive into.  Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Stanford, Vanderbilt, etc are often mentioned.  Even these schools have had issues, but very few.  That's the argument I have heard from some MU faithful.
