Tired of the distractions....let's keep it simple:

Final score?
Sog?
Wild card that makes a difference?

I say 74-68 MU as we clamp down on their guards and ravage the boards,

jae Crowder has another special game, especially in the second half...21 points and 15 boards and gets sog

Todd Mayo as the wild card continues his resurgence from beyond the arc and plays great defense giving MU another scoring option....but wild card will be the OX as he has his way down low and puts in double digits points when needed.

JTBMU7

great topic, let's talk hoops for crissakes...

Final Score: 68-64 good guys
SOG: Really think DJO goes off to the tune of 25+
Wild Card: Devante will work his magic, i'm gonna say at least 3 "and one's"

LA

Final score: 70-63 MU
SOG: Jae finds all kinds of wholes in their D, goes off for 27
Wild Card: Vander cleans up the glass on the defensive end from long rebounds. Gets to the hoop early and often for a double digit night.

Final score   MU 78 Florida 62
Sog   Jae
Wild card that makes a difference  Mayo's 3s

MarquetteDano

Final Score:  Marquette 83 Florida 79

SOG:  DJO (he is due for a big three point shooting game)

X-Factor:  Blue (lots of potential transition points in this one; added he may defend Beal)

JTBMU7

i read a stat that MU had something like 10 transition turnovers in the first two games? that is so out of character fo us, i really think that evens out and we get those buckets to push the score up. Defense is the key, lock them down inside, push their guards up high and disrupt their passing lanes...

I am nervous and while I don't want to interject bad energy into this positive thread, I am going to have to go with my gut on this prediction:

MU: 123

Florida: 7

SOG: MU Tribune - Lighting a fire under the team's arse.

Wildcard: The bouncer from the club, who in act of solidarity, comes out to support the team and accept blame for not informing the minors that they were not allowed in a place of beverages.

Wildcard: Al E. Gator: Clever name changed and moved to Alaska.

Game winning three from Jae as time expires in OT, 81-80 & I'm too tired for work on Friday.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

MU-73 UF-68

SOG- DJO goes for 24 points 5 assists...

Difference-Vander Blue with 11points 7 Rebounds & 3 steals...(Hits free throws at end)

brewcity77

MU - 88
UF - 80

SOG - Vander, their D keys on DJO and Crowder, limiting them to 36 combined points while Van takes advantage of lanes to score 18 with 8 rebounds while locking down Beal, also goes 4/4 from the line in the last 90 seconds.

Wildcard - Davante draws 5 fouls and has their bigs battling foul trouble all night long

Hoopaloop

Marquette 77, Florida 73   Instant classic where neither team has more than a 6 point lead the entire game.  We play just enough 3 point defense to win.

75-67 mu, 65-64 into the final three minutes and mu has a mini run and hits free throws to pull away.

Stud is jae.  Mr everything takes it despite being out scored by DJO because he did...everything.

Wild card.  While I really think Vander's defense is a big key, and he also needs to finish at the hoop in transition, and he will, my wild card is the big sheesh.  Florida has not come up against anything like him.  14ish minutes, 12points, 8 boards, 2 assists, and he draws 4 or five fouls keeping their bigs off balance.  The pace prohibits him from playing more, but every one of the 14 will be good.

Go mu.

If Blue particularly has the ball leading the break, a turnover/charge is the most likely outcome and a score for us is the least likely.  Every time I see him in that situation I think "Pull it back" but he always turns it over.  He has got to be instructed to pull the ball out and wait unless there is absolutely no one between him and the basket.  Only people we have that finish on the break with a defender are DJO/Crowder/J Wilson.  Cadougan is OK if he can assist for the break basket, but not good at scoring it himself.

As for prediction, I think this is a toss up with a lower score than people think.  I'll put my blue and gold glasses on and say MU 68-65.  SOG = DJO, wild card = Blue with a big rebound and two big foul shots.

MU B2002

Final score: 74-65
SOG: J Caddy double double with 0 TO
Wild Card: Milly goes for 20 while UF focuses on Crowder.

6 point win with Jamil Wilson SOG
I said this to a few people this week.  Wilson could absolutely be the key to the game.  He needs to stay away from the cheap fouls that get him into foul trouble.  If he does, the combination of he and Gardner could do some damage.

MU by 7-10. Not an easy win, but comfortable at the end.

Skatastrophy

Final Score: 94-63
SOG: Davante Gardner
Wild Card: We keep Florida running in the first half with the score kept close but get them in serious foul trouble.  A tired and short-benched Florida team gets ripped to shreds in the 2nd half when we slow it down and Big Ox goes to work.
