As many of you know Buzz is currently in discussion with a few programs, and may be interested in making a change next year. I have been following the board here from a distance and have noticed there seems to be a few people that like stirring the proverbial pot with few facts to back up their salacious claims. That being said, if Buzz were to leave for whatever reasons who would you like to see replace him? Also, do you think that it might be time for Marquette to have their first African-American coach?

🏀

1. Dumb post.

2. If the right candidate is black, Marquette will hire him. No need to bring race into anything.

For next year next year - like in 2 seasons from now?

PTM I do not know if this is a "dumb" topic, obviously some people on here believe Buzz maybe leaving. Personally I cannot say one way or the other as I am not privy to any information that would lead me to believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Buzz is not leaving. Regarding bringing in an African-American coach, I think it would be great for the university and should be discussed internally.  Wile race and aptitude are not linked I do think MU is a forward looking institution and should investigate giving a qualified coach with a diverse background an opportunity that may have not normally be available.

🏀

No, a basketball coach does not have to have 'diverse' background. He needs to be able to bring in top recruiting classes and quality character athletes. After bringing in the players, he needs an arsenal of assistant coaches to help him win games.

Color has nothing to do it with and never should

A few programs? Who are the other ones?  I've only heard SMU

You can keep discussing this in other thread.  I'd merge it, but the dumbness would get all mixed together.
