What to expect from Murray State?   Didn't get to see them yesterday.   Add any tempo, etc. stats on Murray State.

MURRAY STATE (30-1, 15-1)

Location: Murray, Kentucky
Nickname: Racers

Conference: Won Ohio Valley regular season and postseason tournament; defeated Tennessee State, 78-58, to win conference tournament title, avenging only loss of regular season.

Coach: Steve Prohm, first year as head coach. Named head coach after last season, when Billy Kennedy left to take head coaching job at Texas A&M.

Starting lineup: Guards – Isaiah Canaan, 6-foot, Jr., (19.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.7 assists); Donte Poole, 6-3, Sr., (14.2, 3.7, 1.5); Jewuan Long, 6-1, Sr., (8.5, 3.0, 2.6); Forwards – Ivan Aska, 6-7, Sr., (10.9, 5.7); Edward Daniel, 6-7, Jr., (6.9, 5.3) Key reserves: Zay Jackson, G, 6-foot, Fr. (4.9, 2.1); Stacy Wilson, 6-3, Jr., F, (4.4, 0.9); Latreze Mushett, 6-5, Jr., G, (4.4, 5.0).

Scouting report: Achieved No. 9 ranking in Associated Press poll, best in school history; veteran, guard oriented team led by junior Isaiah Canaan, shooting .484 from field, .840 from free throw line and .473 from three-point range; Racers excel at three-point shot; weakness is on the interior, difficulty facing up to powerful inside presence.

Key stats: Points per game (74.2), 40th nationally; field goal pct. .477 (23rd nationally); rebounds (33.3, 237th nationally) Tournament history: 2-14 all-time in NCAA Tournament, 15th overall appearance.

Note: One of Murray State's top players, Donte Poole, was a CSU signee four years ago but was academically ineligible and transferred to Murray.

I don't know who Gardner can guard.   But, yes, he should be tough on offense.
