The locations reserve hotels for the teams.  I would bet MU knows which one is theirs and plans are being made right now.

Thought all the fans stayed where the team stays. Just wanted to be with Marquette fans. Sorry for posting.

It is the best location.  I have done it both ways.  Stop at the hotel before and after, if you do not stay there.  Especially after when they win.

No reason to be sorry.  Good question.  My approach will be to gather info on the 'official parties' that will be hosted by University Advancement and to attend them before heading back to my more humble abode.  I've already booked hotel arrangements just across the river in Indiana.  Usually one needs pretty good connections to be able to get into the team hotel.  And you can bet it'll be pricey.
