Not to put too fine a point on it, but the worst we can finish is 2nd. Hope it's all by ourselves, which means we'll also get the #2 seed.

For planning purposes, this also means we will play a night game on Thu (6PM if 2 seed, 8PM (8:30) if 3 seed, followed by the 8PM slot on Friday if we win.

Actually, only if MU wins one of their next two will they clinch the 2 seed. if they lose their last two and ND beats Providence(a given), MU would be the #4 seed, which means a 1:00ish tip on Thursday.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

But if we lose out and ND beats Providence, wouldn't we be fourth via tiebreakers? All three teams would finish 13-5 and we would be 0-3 vs. the other two.

Second in the regular season, fourth seed in the tournament.  The Big East does not do tie breakers for regular season standings.  For example, had Syracuse lost against UConn (Boatright you IDIOT) then lost against Louisville while we won out, MU would have been Big East regular season co-champions at 15-3 with the #2 seed in the BE tournament.
