I just wanted to recognize the MU defense.   I don't have stats, but feel the defense caused the win.  MU is going to hang their hat on the defense the rest of the year, and that is where the success is going to come from.  You could see it from Juan, DW and JJ in the first half.  Those guys knew the defense was all that would keep them in the game and just focused on that.  Jae is a defensive monster.  We consistently beat WVU to the spots they wanted to get to.  Vander was all D and rebounds.

I'm sure the defensive rebounding numbers will be the weak number, but overall I thought the defense was the reason for the win.  So great to watch electric D.

Unquestionably one of the best defensive performances of the year. If Truck wasn't throwing in off-balance 3s in the first half and if we made our FTs and dunks, this would have been an easy one because of our D.

I've seen a few WVU games the last two years and that was by far the worst I have ever seen Deniz Kalicili play.  He was essentially a non-factor on offense all game.  Usually he's good for a couple sky hooks and a bunch of touches down low.  He couldn't even get the ball in the paint tonight.

Too slow.  We are the first team to make him too slow.  Louisville made Davante look too slow last year and other teams picked up on it.  We've been the first team to make Klicli look too slow this year. 

I loved it when Jae doubled to the middle before Klicli even turned there and then ripped the ball away from him.

Klicli looked terrible against us last year too.  I do agree that he is a much better player generally than he has shown against us.  He's not a great passer and we double/triple teamed him down low not worrying about him passing for easy buckets.

That's why Jae is going to get drafted... those type of bball instincts can't be taught.

What is most important about MU's defense is that it was solid (not great, but still pretty good)  in the first half with JJ, Juan, and DWilson seeing a ton of minutes.
