TallTitan and myself are thinking about getting to a local establishment before the ND game.  Where is the best spot for that? How far is it from the arena?

Canadian Dimes

Number of people going to orourkes...just south of campus...in the new "eddys Commons" area.  Prolly a 10 minute walk to the joyce front door.

My favorite tho is the tilted kilt a 5 minute drive

A group of 20-30 something's mu grads have the weeken planned with corby's pub; its a ways from the stadium as its downtown but I believe they worked on transportation

4Ever and Jay Bee will be here trying out the French Dip pre and post game.   :D

Our group of 10 will likely be at O'rourke's pregame.

O'Rourke's is your best (and really only) option.

edit: There is a Brother's in the same commercial area now.

Here's my 1-line review of near campus bars:
-Service at O'Rourkes is pretty terrible and food/drinks are overpriced. It's an Irish-themed TGIFridays.
-I like Corby's alot, but it's probably a 1/2 hour walk from the stadium, and it's not through the best neighborhood, but during the day it should be fine. With a bus, it's probably a 5-10 minute drive.
-You can't go wrong with the Linebacker, cheap drinks and surprisingly good food.
-Brothers can get a little fratty, but pre/post game it shouldn't be too bad, that's where I'll be heading. Decent food/reasonable drink prices/huge drink selection.
-Between the Buns is really a restaurant before a bar, but the food is good enough and drinks are reasonable. It can get shoulder to shoulder packed, but that's unlikely before a 1PM bball game.
-Two lovable but complete craphole local bars are Mitch's and Cheers, neither of those are really within walking distance though.
