Since it sounds like Durley is coming and won't be Newbilled... it leads to a new question:

Would you rather have Phillip Nolan in the 2012 class or Kendrick Nunn in the 2013 class?

For the spirit of the question, someone on the current roster is leaving. If it's that big of a deal who, let's say it's a switchable.

Why does someone on the team have to leave (if you pick Nunn)? There is an open scholarship in 2013.

Also assuming the Otule redshirt.

There out of scholarships until 2014 if Otule stays for a 6th year, I do not want either of them.

Given the assumption that there would be a scholarship available, I'm going with Nolan for the simple reason that I would pefer filling the available scholarship rather than leaving the spot vacant for a year - really like the potential of Nolan as a Scott Merritt type player and grabbing another high end Milwaukee player can't hurt given when recruiting Looney, Stone, et al. And, although it's not an option, I would prefer Wilson over Nunn given that he is more of a pure point guard. I would not be in the least bit surprised if Buzz gets two commits - one for next year and one for 2013 - this spring. I'm not saying I condone that - just speculating it plays out that way.

MattyWarrior

Just because we never seem to have depth at center/power forward,I'd be happy to get 2 bigs.

I would rather have Duane Wilson.

Got to go with the Outside shot.  We tend to overstock on slashers and don't have enough consistent shooters.  If Nunn can shoot that is what we need most in the future.  Also at 200 lbs Nolan is tall, not big and given Wilson's wing span we'll probably play as tall or taller than Nolan.  If Nolan were 6' 10", 230-240 then you're talking about a big man and that would probably change my vote.

What purpose does this poll serve?   ?-(

You may want to add one more category:
5.  I abstain from voting, as my vote can do nothing but make the coaching staff's job more difficult and hurt the feelings of a potential recruit.

Lol

I voted Nolan.  That would give us two big men in a freshman class two years behind a junior class with two bigs, Otule and Gardner.  That would be a great opportunity for consistency in the Big East.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Blackhat

I don't think we've had an off season under Buzz without a transfer yet.   So I wouldn't hold steadfast to any scholly limitations.

this poll needs a #nohomo

I suppose if I had to, probably Nunn; he seems like he would at least buy you flowers... wait, it's not that kind of poll, right?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
