I may agree with you here, but it is funny the post started with changing the line-up to get more offense, and while generally agreeing on changing the line-up, others are focused on getting more defense.

Guys we have a BIG problem at the start of games.  Its not just some kind of a fluke that shots aren't going in.  Our execution against the other team's set zone it TERRIBLE at the start.  There is no movement, no drives to the paint, no getting the ball into the high post.  The easy shoots the other team gets is due to transition off badly missed shots or turnovers in the first few minutes.  It seems like once we've been on the court for a while and we finally remember how to play against a determined opponent then we do ok.  Maybe its due to the other teams substitutions and different match ups, maybe the other team just relaxes.  We're playing games in the 60s and 70s, defense is not our big problem right now.  One of these games we are going to go into half time down by 20 due to the fact that we didn't start playing normal ball until the 10 minute mark.

I would start Jamil over Davante for the sole reason of tip off.  Then as soon as possible put Davante in.

I would start Jamil over Jae for the sole reason of tip off. Then after the first two minutes, put Jae back in so he doesn't pick up a stupid first foul.

I actually wonder if starting Jamil and Mayo ahead of Blue and Gardner would be better.
I think it would be worth a shot since it seems like Buzz is making in-game decisions by playing the guys who are having better games toward the end anyway. Starting doesn't seem to guarantee anything, so why not just mix it up at this point to try to avoid Vandy, 'Ville kind of starts?  If you're having a good game, you're going to be in. Buzz has seemed to ditch the rewarding practice, freshman play behind others, sacred cows, etc. I like it. The only problem I can see is "losing" Blue's head by not starting him. I know this has been a big concern since he came to MU. Ask anyone in the athletic department off the record and this is what you will hear. While he has tons of upside, he is a very emotional guy with a big ego. Not starting him could really shake his confidence and affect his overall play. I'd keep starting him, but like recently, never hesitate to sub him with Mayo for extended periods if he's having a bad game.
