On Sunday Jimmy Butler and Joe Fulce earn their Marquette diplomas.  Congratulations gentlemen.  I'm sure your families are very proud of your accomplishment.

Absolutely!  Congratulations, gentlemen, and best wishes for a lifetime of applying the values represented in that little piece of paper.

That's great to hear those guys are getting their degrees. I know CBB is basically just a big business these days, but I still like to cling to the hope that it is still about getting these guys a good education first and foremost while also giving them an opportunity to play ball secondly, although I realized that outlook is a bit idealistic.

Although I'm not a fan of Crean after the way he left (although I was probably a bit over the top on Sunday morning after a long night), that was one thing he was always really good at, and something I hope Buzz certainly continues.

Congrats, and thanks for helping our APR :)

I absolutely love both of these guys' stories. Congrats to two of my all time favorite warriors.

Excellent news, really glad for them. Love that Buzz is making sure guys are doing well in the classroom as well as on the basketball court.

Anyone know if Buycks graduated? I know there was talk about who was on-course a few months back, but can't remember if he completed his degree.

Congrats indeed.  Both of them will definitely need their diplomas.  That's no knock against their basketball skills but chances are neither of them become the next DWade.  Thus, after their basketball careers are over those diplomas will be critical.

I think Jimmy will be alright.

So glad to make this my first post.  Congratulations, men!

Congratulations Jimmy and Joe!  You both will do well in whatever you choose to do!

This is great news to hear.  I really am happy for Joe.  He had a lot of talent, never got to show it due to the knee.  Too bad, but he earns a degree and is part of the MU family for life!

Great news.

On another note, has there been any word of Fulce helping out in a pinch now that MU is down a few men in practice?

When last seen he was one quarter pounder from exploding.

The following was stolen by me from Cracked Sidewalks where it was written by bma725:

"There may not have been a bigger miss in MU history. Coming out of high school, nearly everyone thought Moore would be great. In addition to the Street and Smith ranking, he was an Adidas and Parade All American as a senior and many predicted that Moore would be the next great MU big man. Instead, he was the biggest bust in MU history, both literally and figuratively. He tore a ligament in his knee prior to his freshman campaign which resulted in an extended absence. When he returned he was so out of shape that he managed to only play in 15 games, where he averaged less than 2 PPG and 2 RPG. He transferred prior to his sophomore year, and was a decent player at Rutgers for two years before he was dismissed from the team for failure to keep his weight under control."
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
