Actually he did get an offensive rebound on the first possesion of the game.  nevertheless, Buzz is correct.

That ticks me off a little. We got Brew who informed us that all but one of Davantes were offensive which is the opposite of Vander. I know its motivation but why go after one of the few rebounders on the team? If everyone is getting rebounds it will not matter who gets them on what end.

Apparently it' s OK that Jae played 31 minuted and had ONE offensive rebound.  Or maybe Jae would have been limited to 30 if he didn't have any either

I have no issues with it. Vander may be our best natural rebounder. Getting on the offensive glass as Buzz says will help his scoring output. Crean constantly challenged/reminded DWade to do the same thing.

I think Buzz singled out Blue due to the fact that he's a guard who happens to be able to rebound well.  You assume the posts/wings are going to get their rebounds, or at least negate the opposite post/wing.  The guards could very well be the difference makers in the rebounding battle.

He is also our biggest guard and arguably are best jumping guard.   Since we are small up front and running 3 guards, it follows that the best jumping, biggest guard we have is needed to rebound.    And he has been doing a stellar job on the defensive glass.

Buzz was right on calling out VB because he is best option of the guards to step up rebounding even more. He is going to be needed much more the rest of the way. When we rebound well we are a different team and VB needs to be big part of that.

Gardner. We actually ended up with the ball as their 7 footer semi whiffed it and Davante tipped it on the way down.

Gardner. We actually ended up with the ball as their 7 footer semi whiffed it and Davante tipped it on the way down.

Davante's fingers on the jump ball reach Eric's elbow. In otherwords he was beat on the jump ball by at least a foot, but ending up getting it anyways.

Not in a Marquette game but I saw him dunk (with one hand) at the Pro-Am this summer after he lost all of that weight. It was actually an alley oop from Jake. I was stunned.
