Watching the St. John's-Detroit game, and Detroit is wearing throwback jerseys from the Dick Vitale era, that are left untucked, much like our '77 jereys. I thought the NCAA banned untucked jerseys?

They look like the Globetrotters, but yes they are untucked.

Screw them then, bring back the "bumblebees".

I believe they allow exceptions.  We wore untucked 1977 jerseys in 1997 I believe to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the national championship.

According to rule 3, section 5, article 8 of the 2010 - 2011 NCAA mens and womens basketball rules

Art. 8. Game jerseys shall be tucked in the game pants.
Note: The first time an official must tell a player to tuck in the game jersey, the official shall issue a warning to the head coach. The next time any player on the same team has the game jersey untucked, that player shall leave the game until the next
opportunity to substitute.  The official shall enforce this rule at the next dead ball after observing the violation.

There must be some sort of exception for this game and the others referenced.  A quick google search suggest most refs just tell a player to tuck a jersey when it comes undone, and rarely force a player out.

Anybody out there actually witness that Detroit-Marquette game that had the V Guy dancing? It was nice to see the "grainy video"

Blue Horseshoe

Did anyone else see Detroit's uniforms last night? They were incredibly baggy, long, and untucked. "...the Titans wore jerseys fashioned by Michigan-based Moneyball Sportswear, a company owned by former Titan Desmond Ferguson ... the jerseys will be sold via auction later in the year... "

I think it had something to do with the Dick Vitale court dedication. Did they need to get some kind of special clearance from the NCAA? I thought uniforms like this were banned (thanks, MU).
