She is second all-stime in NCAA career shut-outs with 38, with the record being 44. Just one of her accomplishments would be more than the collective whole of us Scoopers other than our B&G donations to support excellent student-athletes like her. Congrats on being a finalist.  btw, the women are ranked 9th nationally..

Ah, crap. There's only 5 regular season games remaining.

Now 39 with 4 regs to go after last night.  BET could be the decider. Vote early and often.  Now #2 overall

Must be a lot of men voting.... hence the person in the lead.

I may be wrong, but relooking at the official NCAA record book, Kulla started they year at career 32 shutouts and she has 11 this season...which means she has the chance to tie the NCAA career record today. MU has her with two less for some reason, but the NCAA stat seems to be supported by past season results.

btw, the other three active netminders have fallen behind her. Mastoianni at BC now has 41, Bockhaus of SEL has 36 and Kearney of UNC-G has 34. So, history is potentially being made at VF tonight for Senior Night if my tally is correct.  Andy or the Trib guys, can you confirm?

Is Kulla not getting credit for the shutouts when Roeders lifted her and Sofie Schunk closed out the shutout?

Official stats on GoMarquette.com list Kulla with 9 SOs and "team" with 2.

EDIT: Posed the question to the athletic department Twitter account when they posted about C. Nortey's hat trick to beat Seton Hall 3-0 this afternoon.

Well that sucks...Thanks Andy.  NCAA Rulebook:

Quote
Article 2. A goalkeeper receives credit for a shutout only by playing the entire contest. If two or more goalkeepers participate in a game in which no goals are allowed, credit the team with a shutout but do not award any goalkeeper an individual or shared shutout. A goalkeeper must be solely responsible for holding the opposition scoreless to be credited with a shutout.

Think about it this way: Kulla could break the record by winning Marquette their first Big East championship. :)

Marquette beats South Florida 2-0 to lock up a piece of their third straight Big East American Division title. Kulla gets shutout #42.
