Does chili still serve tacos? And has anyone ever gotten them? I never once saw anyone eating tacos there which is why ive always thought it was funny how they were on the menu.

I'm guessing it's best to be drunk if one is going to order Real Chili, too.

I'm actually a huge fan of the tacos at the downtown location.

Is getting a taco rarer than someone ordering a damn side salad?

I sure would hope not!  I order tacos every now and then, and I've never seen a salad ordered, so I'm going with the salad is more rare haha.

Although I'm not dismissing the joys of Real Chili while drunk, it's pretty damn good for lunch too.  I work downtown and have lunch there at least once a month.

I took friends there for lunch before a Saturday game, Syracuse I believe, last winter curious about their opinion after hearing me rave about it and rail against other inferior chilis like Skyline and such.  They came away big fans.

Real Chili, delicious when sober, heaven when drunk.

Sure I had a misspent youth and a cracker fight or two.  But before that I remember going to Chili with my dad when I was a little kid back at its old location on the north side of Wells at about 15th.  Now I take my son and he's next in line for the late night tomfoolery.  He was introduced at about 6-7 years old; shortly after his grandpa passed on.  College for him starts next year.  Wonderful tradition . . . and a great bowl of Milwaukee's finest.  May it never change.
