“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

This has to be the longest divorce ever.  How can Pitt/Syracuse move so quickly and Mizzou take so damn long?

Because Missouri and the Big 12 had a much more complicated pre-nup?

because Mizzou can call the shots...pitt and cuse had to jump while the possibility was there.

ESPN is saying that Big 12's preferences in order are WVU, BYU, Louisville and Cincy to replace Missouri.

A source with direct knowledge of the Big 12's expansion plans told ESPN.com's Andy Katz Saturday that West Virginia holds a slight edge over BYU on the conference's preference list if the league loses Missouri. But the source was quick to say that it was a fluid situation and the order could change quickly.

The source said the league is more inclined to go to 10 in the short term -- the membership number for this season -- while it assesses the pros and cons of 10 vs. 12 teams.

Louisville is a close third behind West Virginia and BYU, with Cincinnati the fourth choice, according to the source.

forgetful

Part of the delay in the B12 moves is that they are going to the SEC.  They don't want to risk any legal ramifications of recruiting teams away from a conference.  They have to announce they are leaving and then seek options.  That is what happened with A&M.

If you are going to leave the comforts of the B12 you better make sure you have all your ducks in a row.
