FWIW

There is very significant smoke coming out of Greensboro, NC today that the ACC has offered a spot to ND for all Olympic sports with a promise by ND that they annually schedule 4-5 ACC teams in football.

This could be the precursor to the 16 team/4 division concept that the ACC floated to Texas earlier. In this case, when the ND TV contract expires, they could fold football into the ACC by playing 4-6  ACC teams and still have at least 5 other non conference games.

Found it interesting after reading the comments from Brey about ND and the ACC a few days ago

Previously the ACC has taken an all or nothing stance so we will have to wait to see if this plays out.

Just thought I'd share what I heard this morning from a friend in NC....not a fan of this idea, BTW...look what it did for the Big East....nothing.

GOO

If ND becomes a member of a conference down the line, isn't there a minimum number of conference games they have to play?
