Source: Removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe among OU's demands

A high-ranking source told The Oklahoman on Tuesday that OU wants hard and fast rules for Texas and the removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe in order for the Sooners to stay in the conference

Wow. aTm wanted to leave anyways so this development would likely mean that they are free and clear to go to the SEC. I have to believe that the B12 replaces aTm with Louisville. Maybe add Cincy and WVU to get to 12 for a conference championship game? That leaves TCU, USF, UConn and Rutgers without a home right now.

Word in KC radio right now is that AtM is not out of the picture yet, and could come back.

So the school that started this whole thing, may end up not leaving the B12?  Wow.  That really sucks at it helped bring down the BE. Can we just rewind it all?

How far back do you want to rewind? The day BC, VTech and Miami left? Thats when the BE became the worst BCS conference in the country.

GOO

No, just rewind a couple of weeks

I think all this means is that Oklahoma and Texas will not be in the same conference. Oklahoma making demands on Texas to stay in Big 12 is not going to endear the two schools to each other. Basically, they are shoving up Texas's ass Texas's statement that they would like to make the Big 12 work by telling Texas how it will work with consssesions by Texas that Oklahoma knows Texas will not accept. It will now be Texas's fault for the confeence imploding instead of Oklahoma jumping to Pac 10.

Tulsa Warrior

It sounds like OU President David Boren is offering what Texas would consider a poison pill.

GGGG

Possibly...although with the rumors in the air about Texas to the Big Ten with Notre Dame...maybe the Pac-12 isn't all that interested...I don't know what to think any longer.

Aughnanure

Obviously the PAC is either unwilling to take Tech AND OSU or to give in on the Longhorn Network. Oklahoma is making the most of this. Texas overplayed their hand and are no longer in control (haven't been for the past few weeks).

Texas and ND could always buddy up and head to the ACC together.  I think that's why UConn and Rutgers haven't gone anywhere yet, the ACC is holding the spots open for those other 2.

Missouri to SEC.

This is good for us.  Right now the Big East and Big 12 are seeing who can hold their breath the longest.  Whoever caves in first, the left-overs have to go to the other conference.
