I'd imagine he was solidifying the verbal commitment with Deonte, given the news of the Big East shakeup, etc.  Reaffirming to Deonte to still ride with Buzz and MU - and that MU will land in a solid league, and he'll still coach him up like no other coach can...
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

Both.  Buzz is always working.  2 birds with one stone--that just comes naturally to Buzz.
