It isn't that the BE would drop members...but that doesn't mean that the football members won't leave.

I took it to mean that they aren't looking to drop members...and they might be talking expansion.

But that doesn't really mean anything.  I think a "Mountain West" scenario is much more likely - when in the mid 90s the 8 teams that became the MWC broke off from the 16-team WAC outside of the conference meetings.
