Scholarship Situation

I'm not sure if this theory has already been posted, but I heard from someone a good theory.  When people were talking about being short one scholarship for next year I don't remember anyone bringing Fitzgerald into the talk.( I could be wrong I don't remember).  But he is a senior and has enough credits supposedly to graduate.  Perhaps he told Crean that this would be his last season and he intended to graduate and just go onto another career. Once again just a theory or another possibility.

i have heard that if james comes back and we're short a scholarship, fitzgerald would give his up and play as a "walk-on". probably just speculation, but you never know...fitz's parents are loaded.

There is also the chance that Fitz takes an academic scholarship since he'll be a grad student. But anything a single one of us posts on here is just a guess anyways.

yeah I didn't really want to say anything about that figuring it's not really my business, but I did hear that his parents are pretty well off.  I'm thinking that the scholarship opening is gonna be based around Fitz though.

Did anyone get the impression from that Rosiak Blog with TC that he is still recruiting for this year?  I got the idea that maybe one of the freshman could wind up at prep school?  Which would mean that Fitz could walk on and another recruit might still be out there?  If James and Fitz are back and maybe Hazel or sauders preps we could maybe grab a Juco big guy???  Thoughts?...

Crean is always recruiting as he never wants to get caught short handed again with players. Since no one can predict the future, I think this is a good.

I really think all 4 will show up, but you never know.

NO JUCO w/ the way they've panned out the past few seasons. there's no reason to waste it on a JUCO unless he can play solid D, is an amazing shooter, and can keep his grades high enough to play

I do think you guys are over thinking it. Someone will more than likely be leaving, with James and/or Blackledge being the two likeliest suspects.

If that is the case than I am extremely disappointed.  Saunders and Hazel are already at a prep school.  If either one needs another year of prep school than maybe MU is not the place for them.  That leaves Christopherson and Mbakwe.  Doesn't sound like Christopherson is going the prep route leaving Mbakwe.  He is the only incoming freshmen that would provide any valuable minutes next year as a backup to the 4/5 position.
