While surfing around the internet, I found a kid ranked in the top 100 nationally for 2014 in the local area. Ricky Landers is a 6'7" PF/C for Wauwatosa West High School who tore it up as a freshman. ESPN ranks him 54th in his class, and another site I saw had him at 72nd. According to his coach, Buzz Williams has been out to see him. As of that article, he had collected 11 double-doubles.

It may be early, but I'd love to see this kid suit up for Marquette. Might be worth getting out to a couple Tosa West games this year as well to watch him play.

At #54 he is ranked higher than Bronson Koenig.  And recall that Koenig is a sophomore that was ranked #73 in his class.  But, he is so good that Roy Williams broke his own rule and offered him as a sophomore.

So, we have no shot at him.  He's going to announce on Live on Fox from the Tosa Olive Garden that he's going to UNC, unless the NBA changes its Collective Bargaining Agreement so he can go straight to the NBA.  Maybe he'll leave High School after his junior year for the NBA?

MU has had a Tosa East pipeline (Tony Smith, Scott Merritt). Jerry Smith and Devin Harris chose elsewhere.

Did any Tosa West alums ever play for MU?

This Tosa West alum graced the Rec Center hardwood. They haven't had a D1 player on scholarship ever, I think.

I saw Landers play once and he got worked. Shied away from contact and stayed on the perimeter. Body type reminds me a lot of Erik when he first got here. Just as awkward. Long way to go, I hope he develops into a great player.
