SEC is clearly the big winner. ACC the big loser thanks to an assist from Xavier.

Percentage of tournament teams advincing to the Sweet 16...

SEC:       3/5 - 60%
PAC10:    3/6 - 50%
Big12:      2/4 - 50%
Big East:  2/6 - 33%
Big 10:    1/6 - 17%
ACC:       1/7 - 14%

It's interesting, Navin, but is it telling?  Certainly, some of it goes to chance, but does it delineate strength of conference?

That's a good point.  You could have an extremely tough conference, with 10+ teams getting in the dance.  But if they're all seeded 7-10 and run into the buzz saw of #1 and #2 seeds?  You might be left with almost nothing.  Is it then a weak conference?  No way.

hoping Pitt and GU can at least make it to the Elite 8.  that'd be good for the nation's best conference
