Something about Anderson leads me to agree with this. I don't know if he'll see a lot of minutes his freshman year, but I believe he will be an early entry guy by his junior year at the latest. I don't know what it is about his game, but every time I see him, he seems to ooze star quality. Of all the guys on our current roster and incoming over the next 2 years, something tells me he will end up being the best of the bunch.

I could end up completely off-base on this, maybe he turns out to be an average player, a bust, or transfers after his sophomore year because he can't get minutes, but as of right now, he seems like a special kid. I expect him to play a big role in putting Marquette right back on the college basketball map in the next 2-3 years.

So in summary, he might be a super star early entry kid, or he might be a bust.  I guess you've covered your bases...

Just kidding.  I'm excited about his arrival too.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Espn's ratings are the least accurate predictor.he apparently has grown since being rated much higher by the scout boards, but if espn ticked him off fine.

A rare interesting spring thread hijacked by a stooge.
And you sir are a name caller who has no real case!
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

;D

Moreso I'm saying that I think he'll be a superstar early entry kid, but if I'm wrong, he could be a bust and I'll eat crow ;)

Oh, he has a case. Open and shut...you are a stooge.  Which is why even when you support someone's opinion, they ask you not to.

Anyhow, I don't have a problem with what the kid said.  In Buzz's world,"if you don't have a chip on your shoulder he'll put one there," and I hope the kid is ultra competitive with a chip on his shoulder.  Buzz is capable of teaching his kids how to carry that chip in a way that serves a valid purpose while still ensuring his players are respectful and appropriate.  I believe he'll do the same with Juan.

Maybe he should have a chip on both shoulders.  Then he'd be well-balanced.

Or maybe Ewill's shoulder problem is related to a similar chip?

Was just listening to a podcast of one of Rivals' main national analysts on Kansas City radio station today (Eric Bossi), and he named Juan his sleeper of the 2011 class.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Haven't we learned from the VB freshman year experience?

Let Juan establish expectations based on his play next year.  I don't want the guys career established by willie's expectations.  We should just let the kid play.  How the F does anyone know if he is an early entrant at this point.  He is an ESPN Top 100.

Wes was RSCI 61.  He didn't blow anyone away until his senior year.  Let it come to him.

Uh-oh. Cue the "Buzz finally freed him from the strangles of Crean's offense" posts...

I wasn't going there at all.  My only point was that he played his best hoop as a senior.  He didn't show everything he had as a freshman.

But after his freshman year, I was convinced that he had the highest ceiling as an NBA player of the Three Amigos, and I know I wasn't alone in that. He may have had the least impressive numbers in their first three seasons, but I think most people that watched the three could look at his frame, athleticism, and all-around abilities and see that if anyone of them was destined to have a long and successful NBA career, it would be Matthews, despite him not having the numbers of James or McNeal.

I don't disagree

Coleman

I guess it takes Juan to know Juan

MUCam

Does he have the ability to take people Juan on Juan?

wildbillsb

Isn't it Juan-derful that he will be playing for the Warriors next year?  I also predict that MU will have more Juans than losses during his career in MKE.
