by Buzz and staff. If the reports are accurate, shoulda taken this Jeremy Lamb cat when he wanted to come. The dude's a playa, especially for a freshman.

Truth be told, I saw him at the Marquette Elite Camp and he was probably no better than the 10th best player I witnessed.  Looks like he's added about 2 inches from that time and has really, really improved.  Very tentative at the elite camp and when you are about 6-3 160 at the time, it's easy to see why they didn't offer.  At the same camp Vander had his shooting confidence going and was one of the two best there with Wayne Blackshear.

Rollout-the-Barrel

The bummer is he's really good but not good enough to go to the NBA real early. He'll probably tear it up for another 2-3 years in big east.
Tough to predict in the recruiting game.

Not sure where you get this idea that we turned him down ...

ESPN.com's 44th ranked shooting guard Jeremy Lamb verbally committed to Connecticut on Tuesday morning, the Hartford Courant reports. Lamb chose the Huskies over Georgia and Texas after visiting the Storrs, Conn. campus a few weeks ago.

After Lamb's coming out party in Milwaukee earlier this year, Buzz was asked about him after the game and said Lamb really wanted to come to MU, but he was so bad when they had him in town they didn't offer.

Bummer.  The times these coaches get with these players is such a compressed window these days that you can see why mistakes are made with folks like Roseboro, Lamb, etc.

Where do they hold these camps that allowed you to watch?

It was at the McGuire Center and they didn't have one last year.  Not really a public event, although the doors were wide open and people could have just walked in and watched.

The only reason I remember Lamb's name from that camp as he stood out as being out of his league compared to the others.  Amazing how far he's come...great to see as he obviously put some serious time in the gym.

TheFarEastMovement

Hopefully, Anderson could be the answer. Jamail Jones could be the future Wes Matthews. This summer will be crucial as the development of Blue, EWill, Dede, JJones, JWilson will determine the future of the squad. Defense and shooting being the main focus. I don't expect the freshman to see the floor as much.

NYWarrior

FWIW, some FSU fans think they should have had Lamb too.

Where does it end

Doris Burkes Thong

The bottom line is Kemba Walker will make anyone around him look great and Lamb is taking full advantage of his chances.

Walker is great, but Lamb is a legit difference maker. That kid has has been making plays for awhile now and has ridiculous length. His arms look to be bordering on Kevin Durant long.

Hell, I thoght this thread was an analysis of the current White House administration.

How dare anybody critique Buzz's recruiting prowess?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

lab_warrior

Let's see how good Lamb is without Walker.  Dude takes a TON of pressure/defense off him.
