Michigan State is much better than we gave them credit for. I picked MSU to win and MU certainly didn't hold up their end, but MSU probably deserves more credit than has been given.

The more this tournament plays out, the more the committee is vindicated. Just as MU was knocked down a peg due to injury, MSU's numbers probably indicated 10-11 seed, but it looks as if they were appropriately bumped up a line or two for being healthy. They were banged up all year, but went into the tournament healthy - pretty much for the first time all year, and even though they appear to be wearing down a bit as I type this, they are giving UNC all they can handle.

I was actually thinking about this last night with all the talk about expectations - if we could get on par with MSU, I'd be thrilled. They are not quite UNC, Kansas, etc., but they are definitely in the group just below, if for no other reason than Izzo just doesn't lose in the NCAA - at least not early.

Oh, and BTW, I say this to myself every time I watch UNC play, but it never ceases to amaze me - boy is Tyler Hansbrough a bitch. Its painful to think about what he might have done to us if we were playing in this game tonight.

Great basketball game BTW.

I take that the game was closer than the final score.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.
