Two reasons, Kevin O'Neil and Tom Crean.  Did it really help there career?  There legacy?
Do you think those two made a mistake?  I think so.  Sometimes greener pastures are not
that green!

Another reason that OU could end up not being a good choice.
Remember during the summer when the football driven realignment hit.  The Big 12 darn near imploded.  I mean there was rumor that Kansas (the elite of elites) was going to head to the Big East to remain in a viable basketball conference.  The Big 12 is on very thin ice and it could become Texas and the seven dwarfs if realignment hits again and KU has to bolt.  In that case OU could be in a very bad place with respect to BBall, certainly a step down from the Big East.

Agreed, no matter what anybody says about the Big East, look at where they play.
Chicago, Louisville, Philly, UConn, Madison Square Garden, Washington. Vacation in
South Florida, Pittsburgh, even Milwaukee.  Big arenas, big cities.  It is a big city
league.  Look at the exposure at OU, the places they play.  I can see only two cities
I would like to play in, Austin and Lawrence, Kansas.

It is too early to say Tom Crean made a mistake or not, even though I personally believe he did.  Kevin O'Neil however has found only brief periods of success, followed by much failure ever since he left Marquette.  I am sure he wishes he had stayed.
