Here is a nice Milwaukee Journal article previewing Marquette's 1977 midwest regional semi-final against kansas state and comparing the 1974 and 1977 teams. Lots of great quotes.

Yeah, I just recently found out about the function. It's cool going back. You can read Milwaukee Journals from the 1940s. Interesting to see the papers from the WWII era.
