Well, sorry, I don't have time to go through and research all your players and make all those predictions...I didn't really want to start a new thread just for this since I'm new and you could probably categorize it as spam....

but I just want to say even though I am a student at Detroit, and we haven't played you guys since 1991, that I am still pumped up about the matchup because of the rich history between these teams. I know you guys lead the all-time series 27-60...but those games in 78 and 79 were classics. Dick Vitale talks about them on EA Sports March Madness the video game...

So without further adu....

BEAT MARQUETTE!!!!  ;D

Cotton will be the leading scorer, Covile will be right behind him and should lead in rebounds (our 6'9" 250 lbs Senior Center, had 12pts 13 rbs tonight) and Brandon Bell should have some added incentive, seeing as he transferred from Marquette to Detroit. Played in his first regular season game with the Titans tonight, after coming back from 2 achillies injuries. Scored 9 points.

Should be a good game. I am going with the homer pick. Detroit 62- Marquette 57

BEAT MARQUETTE!!!

(mod note: I split this off to a new topic, and changed the title...didn't belong with the predictions - rocky)

If we play like we have, your prediction is modest at best.

And those shirts are awesome.  I wish one would end up on Ebay.

Well, we lost to Grand Valley in Exhibition...who is in the same conference as Hillsdale...Although GV is top 5 in the nation in DII, and Hillsdale is pretty bad, considering they lost most of their players from last year. But then we beat up on Ferris State probably the 2nd best team in that conference.

It's just that we have had .500 teams the past couple of years, and often the thing with .500 teams is they are often inconsistent. We have much more talent this year...but less experience, which seems to be your problem, lack of experience.

Personally, I think last year, we would have lost this game to Maine yesterday at the Bradley Center.  We shot 33% in the first half, and I don't think we would have been able to make the adjustments we did today. To come back from a 9 point deficit and shoot 55%.

Hopefully we end up winning by more than I predicted, but knowing the Titans the past couple of years, they always let the team back into the game, even if they are leading by a ton. Like vs. Ferris in Exh. Leading 40-13...let them within 10 points before sealing the deal.

You will have your hands full with Covile and Cotton...it is up to our other players to finally step up and win us the game.
