No team has been more jobbed by the NCAA selection committee in the last decade than Missouri State.  Hope they get in.

In the game playing point guard for Indiana State is freshman Steve McWhorter from Racine St. Catherine's.

Missouri State is 37th in the RPI...I would like to see them win.  Indiana State has no shot to get in but to win this tournament.  A potential bubble bursts with an ISU win.

CtD has Missouri State out before the loss unless they win the MVC.  I doubt even a 37 in the RPI saves them from being out (only quality win is against Tennessee early in the season) unless they pull something out here in last 2.5 seconds.

If you already know the outcome, how nervous can you really be?

I don't think Missouri State deserves to get in. They have a 37 RPI and...umm...that's it. Their SOS is awful, and their out-of-conference SOS is even worse than ours is. 0 wins against the top 50, and the only reason they don't have 4 bad losses is because Indiana State moved into the top 100 RPI by beating them today. Both kenpom and Sagarin have them rated in the 70s, and that was before the loss today. 22 of their 25 wins are against teams that are 101+ in the RPI, and their best win is over RPI 60 Wichita State. Even with a soft bubble, they have no business being anywhere near the NCAA tournament.

Statistically speaking, they will be in the discussion per the article I attached earlier today.  Their RPI as of this minute is 42.

Since 2006, an RPI in that range equates to a 50% chance of getting in.

If RPI was the only factor the Selection Committee looked at, I'd agree. And if it was the only factor they looked at, Missouri State would be looking at their third straight at-large bid. But there's a reason they haven't made it in past years, and it's the same reason they don't deserve to make it this year. Because outside of that one number, their resume absolutely sucks. I have nothing personal against them, but if they get in as a 12-seed, we deserve to be at worst a 9-seed. And right now, I don't think there's any way we're a 9.

Brew City has a point.  That team's on the right side of that 50/50 shot have had at least another feather in their cap that suggests they deserve to be in the tourney.  Missouri State doesn't have anything else to speak of, and is very likely to be sitting at home when the tourney opens.

I don't disagree with you or Brewcity on this....I'm merely presenting the statistical information.  They'll be in the discussion, I don't think the comment that said they shouldn't be anywhere near the NCAA tournament is accurate.  My guess is they are out and going to the NIT.
