Cincy had so many offensive putbacks I couldn't even count. Just destroyed us.

Just poor defense all around.  Even as we started to score near the end of the game I never really felt we'd come all the way back because Cincy was scoring at will...couldn't get a stop.

Of all the things that make me angry about this team, it's that.  Playing good D, getting a stop, and then either not blocking out or getting outhustled for an offensive rebound.  INFURIATING.  There was one possession in the first half where Cincy shot TWO AIRBALLS, got the rebounds for both, and then got a layup.  Just unbelievable.

I agree about not getting rebounds off bad shots in 1st and 2nd half. I thought we got some bad bounces or no bounces for a period there in 2nd half. My biggest complaint is lack of defense on wide open 3's!

This is perhaps the most frustrating part of this team. It's not that they give up offensive rebounds. Over the course of a game, everyone is going to give up a few offensive rebounds. It's that they seem to have no idea how to properly rebound, and that is a HUGE problem for a team that has a small margin of error to begin with.

Guys seem to be in the right position, but nobody knows how to box out. Nobody knows how to time his jump. And when there is a scrum for the ball by the basket, how many times does the other team come away with it?

If I had more time, I'd love to go back over the past few weeks of games and see how many of MU's defensive rebounds came without pressure from an opposing player, or where grabbed after a bounce off the ground. It's almost gotten to the point where I have no faith this team can come down with a contested rebound.

1-14 over the past two seasons now when MU scores 70 or less points in grinder games against ranked or NCAA teams.  Telling.  Order me a face up power forward please so can get so stops.  MU has always had a strong PF and C combo in it's very best seasons advancing.  This is why.
