Rosiak on 620TMJ last night
« on: February 20, 2009, 11:32:48 AM »
when pressed, said that he thought MU would most likely go 2-3 these next 5, with an outside chance for 3-2.

believed that winning any of the games was possible, and that the seniors would not let a sr. night debacle occur vs. Syr.

2-3 makes us 13-5
3-2, 14-4

honestly, didn't think either record was realistic when the season began.

good stuff, mu fans.

I'd take 2-3 in a heartbeat.  And would be thrilled with 3-2 or better.  I hope he's right about Syracuse.  The senior ceremony after a loss is pretty depressing.  These guys deserve to have a good one.

I, for one, am thankful that we are FINALLY here, at THE GAUNTLET.  I think I have either read about it, thought about it, talked about it or heard it mentioned at least 5 times per week since October.

Both teams shot pretty unconscious from the field last time (MU: .519 fg, .455 3pt fg (10-22) | GTown: .561 fg, .500 3pt fg (10-20)).  The biggest difference, statwise, was that we shot 38 FREE THROWS (and made 30) to their 13.  They are as capable of scoring in the 50s as they are in the 90s.  Prediction: 85-78 good guys.

Anyone know if there's a podcast of the interview anywhere?

Just curious on everyone's thoughts on what would a 3-2 record with a win in the BET get us?  3 seed?

I think a 3 seed is key for a successful run in dance.  Not only does it give us an easier first two rounds but steers us clear of facing NC or Oklahoma in the sweet 16 as they won't place us in a region with a Big East #1 seed.
