11 BEast teams in...

"The Big East tournament won't have bubble drama. Cincinnati's win over Georgetown and Marquette's win over Connecticut may have put both teams in the NCAA tournament. If that's the case, the conference tourney may not have any bubble drama when the quarterfinals start on Thursday. It will be a slugfest, but it may not even affect seeding that much for the Big Dance. What's also interesting is that the Big East might not have an NIT team. The division from NCAA to no postseason is a clear line at 11. The bottom five teams haven't done much to command an invitation to a postseason tournament. So the Big East teams can go to New York to slug it out, but ultimately it won't matter much in the bracketing of the NCAA tournament."

Wait for DePaul to win the whole thing.

It is important to get a first round bye. The risk of not getting it is that you lose to a bottom feeder. There will be three teams playing either DePaul, Providence or South Florida. My belief is that the team that losses to one of those teams is NIT bound. I also believe the odds are pretty good that one of those bottom feeders upsets someone.

Agreed.  Would really like to avoid a bottom feeder.  Would love a Top 8 finish to do so.  We have absolutely nothing to gain by playing one of them and a bid to lose.
