Root for the Gentleman
« on: February 20, 2011, 08:41:37 AM »
Without a doubt the Centenary Gentlemen have the best nickname is college sports.

Unfortunately they are also the worst team in D1 basketball.  0-26 with a RPI of 345 (out of 345 teams).

But all is not lost for the Gentleman.  As we play Uconn in a pivotal game Thursday night, the Gentleman take the floor against the 4-19 Western Illinois Leathernecks.  Realtime RPI has the Gentleman winning by 4.  KenPom gives them just a 32% chance of winning, but that is the highest percentage for any game this year.

Go Gentleman!  Outclass the Leathernecks and win your National Championship!  Then MU's SoS will soar from its current 28 (KenPom) to ... 28!!

The Gentleman's RPI went 345 (last) to 343!!

Forget the Unconn win, this is doing wonders for our SoS which is why our RPI is soaring!!!

Good for those guys.  Credit to a bunch of kids who hung in there all year.
