I agree that he rarely makes a boneheaded play, but if he was more aggressive and the result was the occasional boneheaded play but some more scores, I could live with that.  It seems to me (with zero evidence to back it up) that when he is forced by game situation to leave his element and force things he wouldn't normally, more good things happen than bad.
