I would like to hear what the other side is thinking about tomorrow's match up.  He usually shows up around here around this time each year.

Benny B

JJ is probably too busy chatting about his own team to toil around with opponents' fanboards.

That's what happens when your team is having a good season.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Their website looks a lot better this year.  http://johnnyjungle.com/

Is there going to be a contest this year (last year's Scoop v JJ banner challenge)?

I've already posted in their forums asking (in the Marquette game thread).  Not even a reply from JJ there yet.

Only one logical explanation: they're scared!

Farva:"Give me six Schlitzes."
O'Hagan: "Take it easy, Rod."
Farva: "Open bar, dude!"

Interesting on how much less traffic they seem to have over there.  Only nine threads active today.

Also found this interesting:

I knew they were going to have a lot of turnover with seniors after this year, but they'll be entirely different next year.

Our forum is a different beast. Try to consolidate a lot of threads so 9 active threads isn't uncommon. One thing that is weird is our views are up but posts are slightly down. Maybe people have less to complain about?  ?-(

Bringing in some heavy recruits, however.

Recruits are big time and I fully expect them to keep pouring in. Its amazing the changed perspective within the basketball community on high school/grassroots level how some guys who wouldn't speak of St. John's are now singing their praises. #LavinEffect as I like to say on twitter. He's truly amazing with the way he engages people.

On the other side of this game. I'm a big fan of Buzz.

PS. Buzz is a fan of Johnny Jungle. He got a kick out of it on Big East conference call earlier this season.

And web-app enabled!  :o

Thanks redid the website for 3rd time in 3 years. Have to stay with the times. This summer I'm going to make the web-app enabled version of the site a little better. Right now I don't have the recruiting database in a mobile version. I'm also going to style it up some more but glad you guys like.

Not to steal JJ's thunder, because it is a great site, but the busiest St. John's forum is at Redmen.com

How about the loser has to re-do the Scoop site to make it web-enabled?  *cough* seems fair *cough*

Interesting tidbit taken from the Johnny Jungle forums.  Original poster was 'peter'.

"With that in mind, did you know that St. John's hasn't beaten the Marquette Golden Eagles since 1966, when former St. John's player and Marquette coaching legend Al McGuire was leading the then-Warriors (Lou Carnesecca was leading the then-Redmen in one of his first seasons)?"

JJ, with less playin' time to offer in the future, interestin' to see if future high end recruits will continue to funnel into the Storm.

That's from our pregame post that I write for the Jungle. Check out the pregame post linked on that thread as well: http://johnnyjungle.com/2010-2011/golden-eagle-opportunity/

I didn't want to post this on the JJ boards for fear that it might be taunting, but for the full game history and scores check out MUScoop's St. John's wiki page...

http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball/st._john_s

(JJ and pico feel free to edit the page to update school information.  Would love your input.  Just don't edit the game scores to rewrite history in your favor :)
