Prediction: BE Team will win the NIT

There is a lot of talent in the middle of the Big East this year.  Without doing some damage in the Big East tournament, it's very possible that WVU (21-8, 9-7), DePaul (18-12, 9-7), Villanova (21-9, 9-7), and Providence (18-11, 8-8) are all NIT bound.  I don't see many teams around the country that will fail to make the NCAAs that are any better than these 4.

agreed, they are in. 21 wins and an RPI inside of 20.

right now the Big East has 7 in......could be 9 if WVU and DPU win a pair of games in the BET

That was my mistake.  I was looking at the http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bubblewatch?id=53 and they do have Villanova as a lock, however Syracuse (21-9, 10-6) isn't guaranteed.  While I do think they'll  make the field, I'll stick with my prediction.

Interesting going back to this.  This was before Syracuse won a BE tourney game, so figured they'd be a lock after that.  They really got hosed, but this improves the chances of my prediction coming true.
