Perhaps lost in all the hullabaloo over the lethargic start, the strong second half run, and the free-throw line meltdown, amongst numerous other concerns and compliments, were the time-outs Buzz took.

Buzz looked exasperated, but he did not hold onto time-outs like he has had a tendency to do in the past. At one point, I believe he called a time-out, spoke briefly with the team and then sent them right back on the court while the dancers were still on the court.

I, along with others, have been critical of Buzz's time-outs in the past. Last night, I thought they were spot on. By the way, I thought that even when we were still losing and seemingly would need a major run to make it a game. So my assessment of the time-outs would be the same win or loss.

Buzz did an awesome job of not calling any timeouts just before we shot any of our eight 3-pointers that went in.  Totally outcoached Stan Heath in that aspect of the game.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

With all the griping, this made me laugh.

I feel like Lovie Smith called a couple timeouts right before the Bears gained yardage/first downs.  Not as bad as having a game-tying 3 waved off, though.

Actually, I think Buzz ended the game with at least 1 timeout and possibly 2.  I'd have to go back and check.

Buzz is a young coach who will learn from experience.  I'd say this is an example of that.
