Big East Stats
« on: February 05, 2011, 02:54:27 PM »
Just looked those over on Big East.org. Some notables:
We are 14th in Blocked Shots; 9th in Offensive Rebounds and last in Defensive Rebounds; so those are definitely areas we need to address in recruiting. (Some quality bigs)

Individual Stats:
Crowder is definitely a BEast stud--he is 10th in scoring; 7th in rebounding; and 8th in FG %
DJO is 3rd in scoring; and JFB 9th in scoring.
Buycks is 1st in 3 point FG%--he has definitely improved his game in that area. DJO is 8th.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

Was just looking at this too.  We couldn't ask for better offensive production from the 2-4 positions.  All three top 10 in scoring during conference play.  Buycks is picking his spots well from three and keeping defenses honest.  It also underscores how our 5-5 BE record has partly been a function of schedule (8/10 games against top 25 Pomeroy teams, 4 of those losses coming on the road to said teams).  2 of our last 8 are against top 25 Pomeroy teams (3 if you want to count Cincinnati, which is a home game).  6-2 down the stretch is definitely feasible, and I don't care how we get there (i.e. lose @USF but win @G'Town).  11-7 would not only make us a lock, but a top 7 seed.
