How many times in the first half did VB touch the ball?

"Touch the ball" being defined as VB's hand(s) coming into contact w/ the ball by, a steal, deflection, pass from a teammate, rebound etc.

Answer to be provided later.

GGGG

I am giddy with anticipation.

Nukem2

Whatever, though Vander did play well down the stretch.

Yeah me to, I've been refreshing the thread for 5 minutes now!

NavinRJohnson

Well since you're asking, I assume the answer is zero coupled with the fact that he only played 12 minutes, I would guess the answer is zero. I guess I am more interested to hear what the point is.

chren21

I think the point is that he has regressed. Other than a semi lucky and one (missed the ft) and a nice rebound he got worked over on D

Is there a point to the OP's post?
HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Considering the  history of the OP, I am going to speculate the point is to complain about something.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

This does not qualify you as much of a "speculator" :)

And the answer to the QUIZZ is ONE.  that's right, VB touched the ball just one time in the first half.
Why is this important? It shows his  lack of involvement in the offense. He does NOT move w/o the ball.  Those on the floor will not pass him the ball!! Why? Perhaps a bad attitude--Perhaps no confidence he knows the offense or cannot score; will turn the ball over.  VB's defender does not have to pay attention to him.
On the defensive part of the floor, it shows  he is not a good defender or re bounder.  Does not play the passing lanes-does rebound.

I realize this will not go over well w/ those who have drank the kool-aid.  Just watch his play in the next 2 and decide for your self.

GGGG

While I agree with your general premise that Blue has regressed, it isn't the sign of a bad defender that he doesn't touch the ball on the defensive end.

65  serious question..how many points did the guy(s) VB was guarding score in the first half when VB was on them....I really don't know and it would be interesting to know.

Thanks

answer to NOT zero

And yet ZERO is the answer to the question "What's the point of this thread?"

Not quite your answer, but Vander was a -10 in plus/minus.  If you looked at this his "on/off court" trend, he was a -15.

My question: Is there a new urban way to spell the word "quiz"?   ;)
