While I'm sure he'd like more run, he is just a 2nd semester freshman.  Plenty of time to earn PT.  And I don't think PT was main reason he left MU.

Through transfer.  A redshirt cannot be spread over two different seasons.  He could have redshirted this entire year and had three years remaining, but by playing in the second semester, he lost that ability.  He still can redshirt, but basically he only has 2.5 years at UT.

Only two years of eligibility remaining after this year, but does it really matter?  Almost definitely going pro in a few months.  The NBA salivates over talented shooting guards like J-May.

Right...as explained here before, that is why mid-year transfers are so dumb.  Jamil can use his redshirt to sit for the year, but midyears can't do that.

There was talk at the time of his transfer - and I have no idea whether it's true or not - that Jeronne would have been academically ineligible for the second semester last year. If true, he would have lost that half a year regardless.

You cant transfer if you are going to be ineligible at the school you are currently at.
