Gasser is not flashy, but has a very good all-around game. Smart basketball mind for a frosh. Solid. Blue is flashy and fast, that's it. Hope we don't  other players get away. Changed my mind on Newbill also. Just a good player. Street wise. So Buzz smarten up.

Who cares?   How exactly does it impact MU?  Either you are worrying about nothing, or you are trying to start something.    Start a thread about JuJuan Johnson every time he has a good game.   It has as much to do with this year's MU team.

Why not care? Any time UW has a melt down or something bad happens to them it gets brought up on this board. So why not bring up something that is pretty impressive that happens to UW on this board.

Any triple double in a college game is pretty impressive.  Pros rarely do it in 48 mins.

Have we had one since Wade v. Kentucky even?

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Please respond the same way when we have thread after thread after thread started here by those ripping on the kid.

Good for Gasser - does it matter?

Apparently only when the kid has a poor game and the same 4 or 5 clowns can't wait to talk about it.  Meanwhile, they're ranked, they're in 3rd place, they beat us again, and they are clearly the best program in the state the last decade looking at any reasonable measure.

But hey, "their talent is down" and they are on the way to 2nd tier finishes in the Big Ten.   ::)

Who cares?

Apparently a number of people do.  Seriously, if you don't like it, don't read it.

Uh, he is a couple of other things too:

  • Solid defender
  • Very good passer

Blue is going through a mid Frosh slump but he already has been huge in two games for us this year.  He will be huge in a critical conference game at some point.  How many posts did we see around here talking about Matthews' limits his Frosh year?  He ended up doing pretty well if memory serves.

You probably forgot that Matthews missed a number of games due to injury in the middle of his Frosh year.

Before he went out with the injury, he started every game and was averaging 26 mpg, 9.5 ppg, and 4.9 rpg, and 2.7 assists.  I doubt anybody was talking about his limits at that time.

Kind of hard when the thread doesn't say what it's about. Maybe if the thread had a sensible title like "Gasser gets triple-double" rather than just some ambiguous "When was the last time..." without answering the question in the title. Maybe we should just have a Badger worship thread on here where we can post all the stuff about Gasser, them playing the Jump Around song (also played by ND and the Bears...how dare they?), and the Indiana/Wisconsin game. We could call the thread "The Evil Empire" and maybe the mods could sticky it so we don't create thread after thread talking about something a good portion of the site isn't overly interested in.
