The Mike Deane taunt after Wardle drilled the three is an all time classic.

Whatever you want to say about Deane, he was a real piece of work.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I still can't stand watching #1...even today it still feels like a punch in the gut.

Mr. Nielsen

I still have this game on tape, 2004 at the BC on CBS. Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner when freshmen D. Mason hit the shot with .08 and got foul on the play.

If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

What always kills me about Louisville (particularly 1, 3, 5) is that they do it to us at home. No other team has made our own building such a house of horrors the way they have. I was talking to a current student who's not from Milwaukee (and thus not as familiar with the rivalry) last night who was hoping for Marquette to crush them. I said "No, I wanna be down 1 with 3 seconds to play, inbound to DJO around half-court and have him nail a 35-foot prayer to beat them. It's not enough to destroy Louisville, I want to rip out their hearts."

Probably been said many times but boy was Novak wide open on play #1.

I actively try to erase these heartbreaking painful losses to Louisville from my memory every day, and very unsuccessfully with all the triggers floating around.  I'll never forget the sharp pain I felt in my groin area at the BC when Reese Gaynes hit that shot in 2003 to trump D. Wade and company, snapping our 28 game home winning streak.  I'd never experienced such a shocking silence that way before.  The way we lost those other subsequent buzzer beater games is so traumatic that after just hearing or reading the name Louisville, I start to have convulsions....However, I have found that a very calming therapy is watching the 19 pt comeback at Louisville video the same year. Absolutely the best 2nd half comeback performance I have ever seen.  Diener's fade away shot clock beating three pointer and his O rebound tip in towards the end of that game were incredible, not to mention D. Wade's 28, 8 and 7.

I would settle for a blowout.

Hards Alumni

Well, expect this game to be on the list.  Heartbreak.

Hate to say it, but this game is the new #1

This unfortunately might be #1. You can watch a 1000 games and need see a collapse like this mess.

Well, on the bright side, if you only watch MU/UL games, UL saw a worse loss about 8 years/13 games ago.
